Woke up to the worst nightmare I've had in ages. Thanks to the fact that I have quit watching horror movies years ago, nightmares are a thing of the past. Or so I thought.
Last night, we had a friend over and his task was to bring the movie. So he chose Sin City. While the plot was very interesting, after watching 5 minutes of it, I was considering not watching the whole thing. There was just a lot of violence - blood gushing, slicing of people in half, a dagger striking right between the eyes, that kinda thing. It was very disturbing.
Then we somehow(unintentionally) ended up watching Monster, which was also very violent. Lots of killing, swearing, blood, rape. Again, highly disturbing. This is exactly why I do not watch violent movies. They make me sick to the stomach. And almost unavoidably, have nightmares.
People have bad dreams, nightmares, and then there's me who has super bad nightmares. In the event of which I'm often aware of the fact that it is a dream but can do nothing about it as I feel my mind race and my body twitch.
