Perseverance will get you everywhere

So many contradicting thoughts in my head these days.

Think I have decided to put on hold my big travel plans. Right now if I did go away, it would be for the wrong reasons. There is a time for everything and perhaps now is the time to rough it out with career plans. Time is not stopping and if it is to pass anyways, it is better to end up with something rather than nothing.

Yesterday I attended the congregation of a friend. She graduated with a Master of Laws. It was very inspiring. Most of the students were graduating at the Masters or PhD level. Some of them older than others.

At my own convocation 2 weeks ago, our guest speaker's advice was simple. Choose something you think you'd like doing and go for it. Yesterday, the guest speaker of the ceremony made a comparison between the event of 9/11 and 11/9. While the former was an example of how humans can destroy themselves, the latter which was the date for the destruction of the Berlin wall was an example of how there is still hope for us. She said to choose wisely what we do with our education. And that we should work towards the betterment of mankind.
