Good Times Are A Comin'

One can never predict the outcome of anything, really. At work today I was having the shittiest of days and thought I had had enough of retail work forever. Stupid customers who have the patience of a 2 year old! Yeah lady, just stand there and sulk. If I had to live with a face like that I would do it too. Arrghh!!

After work dad came to pick me up and we all went to a dinner. The 60th Birthday of a distant relative. Some of us were dreading it because it meant sitting with a bunch of about 20 people we'd only meet once a year at Christmas, if at all. So yeah lotsa awkward and meaningless chit chat. Surprisingly enough it went better than I thought. Not much but a little.

One of the girls about my age invited me to go out with her and her friends this Friday night. Then Sarah invited me to go play games with her and her friends on Saturday. Was supposed to go out tonight for G's birthday. She's my co-worker. Get this...the manager did not get invited but I did. Yay. Guess I'm just cooler that way! Haha...

Anywho I had to take a rain check. Working early tomorrow morning but promised her I'd go out Saturday night for sure. Plus Illy is coming to visit this weekend from Van as well! Yay!

Oh, oh. And J is back in town so people are coming over for dinner tomorrow night. Man what a fun weekend this is gonna be!

Guess life is good. Sometimes it's shit and I end up missing C lots. But then at other times when people reach out to me, I can't help but be pulled back into the living here and now.

Know how I had planned for these couple of months to be write off months? Just chill and spend time with the family. Not really going out, not really into anything, not really planting any roots. But life has other plans for me it seems like. I'm meeting new people, enjoying time on my own (and with others) and I also have a local cell phone number now too. So much for not planting roots...

But the point of my story is that one can build a life almost anywhere, given time. People will be met, jobs will be done, life will be lived.

Man, who the hell knows anymore. One minute it's good, the next minute things suck. Whoa! What a rollercoster ride.
