Cold War @ Home

You know how they say that everything in life is a cycle, a trend? The stats go up, up, up then down, down, down and then up again? Kinda like the bust and boom of the stock market.

Sorry to say but it's bust time here at home. There's no need to panic though, this happens enough for me to know that it will happen again. It is the very essence of why I moved out of my family home quite a few years ago. Hi my name is Ana and my family is dysfunctional.

Once again I find myself stuck in the middle. The quarrel is not between me and anybody but mostly between the forces: Mum vs. The couple. Since this is a team sport dad is somehow always forced to participate. Me, on the other hand, I stand on the fence *phew* But meh, the atmosphere at home is still hostile. So nobody's allowed to have fun.

As we speak, my dad is sitting in the dining room staring off into space acting like somebody just died. He hasn't really talked to anyone in 2 days. Yesterday he tried talking to me but I ignored him. Mum tried talking to me but I ignored her too. There is no need for me to get involved, if they choose to behave like children so be it.

Sometimes people simply do not know how to appreciate what they have.

Now please excuse me while I go lose myself in the words of a certain Gabriel Marquez.

Hey ya, Getting a lil better but I'm totally not fooled. It will happen again, just like a seed laying dormant for the winter...life is but a cycle I guess :)
