Indecent Behaviour?

Came home this afternoon, skimmed through the newspaper...everything was going fine until... WHOA! You must be kidding me.

There in broad daylight, was this article about the authorities in Kota Bharu (Malaysia) sending out fines to couples who were caught behaving indecently in parks. As if that wasn't enough to get my eyes rolling, it gets even worse. WAY worse. They defined indecent behaviours as holding hands, kissing and hugging. I mean...fine...kissing, hugging maybe understandable...but holding hands??!!

Although this does not affect me dircetly, it still blows my mind that it exists in Malaysia. How could parts of the country be so liberal, yet others...*sigh* I thought Malaysia was just...Malaysia. The fundamentalists are ruining everything. They always do.
