Well boys ang girls, the time has come. Today I am leaving for the north eastern states of Kuantan and Terengganu. They are both known for being a tad bit more conservative compared to the rest of Malaysia, so it should be interesting. This is a place where holding hands is considered 'indecent behaviour.' Never in my entire life have I seen a supermarket that has seperate check-out counters for males and females. What of the undecided then? I suppose in a place like that...'undecideds' are not allowed. Let's see if all the stories are indeed true...and perhaps put some of the boundaries to test. If I do not return to blogging after awhile, please send out a human rights lawyer to comb the prisons of these states. Your efforts will not go unrewarded, I assure you.
So then we will be spending some time on the paradise-like islands off the coast. Probably doing nothing but reading and contemplating life. You know, the Buddha did not become one by living in a city.
From there on, plans are just a thing of the past.
Tentatively, Thailand is my next destination. A 20 hour bus ride to Bangkok does NOT sound appealing, though.
After Thailand...we'll see.
Adios guys, be good and don't do anything I wouldn't do.
