CMD struck again. Just when you thought...
This time though, it was a personal attack. Here's what he said:
Perhaps the "made in occupied Japan" stamp was to distinguish the product from cheap things that are made in like China or Malaysia.
For the dignity of my country, I was upset. Now I can somewhat imagine what actual Chinese people must feel like whenever there's talk of inferior "made in China" products. And like them, I may get upset but cannot deny the truth of the matter.
This is the 2nd time within 2 weeks that I have heard statements like these. Didn't even know that Malaysia was that huge of an exporter of consumer products. Once again, the only publicity for Malaysia is bad publicity. A couple of years back, there was a Malaysian man detained at the Vancouver Airport for strapping tons of cocaine to his body. How did he think he was going to get through immigration?? And then of course there's the overly used link between Islamic Malaysia and the Terrorists of the Middle-East.
If we do not be careful, yes by 20 20 we will be known to the world. Unfortunately for all the wrong reasons.
How is it that a country which has as much modern technology and infrastructure as Malaysia be viewed in this way. I mean, have you SEEN Putrajaya? Have you seen KLIA? Why are we still being viewed as some poor ass third world country?
Just a few days ago, a friend in History class asked me if there is a serious problem of starvation and malnutrition in Malaysia as seen in Africa.
