Saturday afternoon and I'm a feeling good, good, good

Extension mania

Got an extension for my paper! It's due the day after tomorrow - only half done at this point but still feeling good about it. Coincidentally, the Royal BC Museum here is hosting an exhibit on Tibet. So it should be very interesting to go see. Would have been nice to check it out to get material for the paper, but alas there is no time.

Father's Day

My brother had gone and done it again. On Father's Day, dad will be working. Since my bro wanted to go camping this weekend, dad has to watch his store. This is exactly the kinda thing my brother does and this is exactly why we do not get along. Ah hell, bygones. We are all going out for dinner tonight. My brother has a friend visiting from Malaysia. It's always nice to have visitors from home.

Now I finally understand why Hallmark does so well. For the first time ever, I found a card that described EXACTLY what I wanted to say. Was going through a bunch of them and was almost ready to throw up from all the lovey dovey wordings but then - there it was. The perfect card. For the first time I was able to pick out a card that did not contain some element of humour in it. It cost quite a bit for my non-existent income but well worth it, I'm sure.

Spiritual Progress

Ommm...my new role models are now the Dalai Lama (because he is wise) and the Karmapa (because he is so cute) :) Do you suppose it is unforgivable to lust after a monk?

Oh and finally, a round of applause for Murni. She managed to get hooked onto the internet again and is no longer an internet social pariah. Welcome back.
