Alright, so this is getting ridiculous. And a bit sad too. One simply cannot sit home all day doing nothing.
Well, not nothing but...this.
Another interview today.
Does - we'll be in touch in a few days- actually mean - we do not intend to hire you but don't wanna deal with telling it to your face? If it does then it's just plain cruel. I would much rather know now.
Stay positive!! GAWD! Why is it taking so long. Restless, restless, restless.
Everything happens for a reason, I suppose. Hopefully not getting all these jobs would mean eventually getting hired at the bookstore where I really want to work. For now, anyways. Ughh, what a freaking underachiever. When I grow up, I want to work in a bookstore. Sure. The thing is, these 'for now' jobs can so easily turn into a forever job if left unchecked.
Looks like it might have to be more school sooner or later.
The thing though is that the program I'm interested in doing might end up bringing me back to square one. Airline ticketing agents do not make lotsa money and are not in high demand with everything going online now. That leads us to option #2 - Hotel Management. Enough said. Every aspiring hotel managers I know ends up working front desk. Unless if one is self-employed. In which case there is the problem of actually owning a hotel to run.
This begs a question as old as my uni text books ---- Interest vs. Practicality
So far it has been, follow your interests...listen to your heart.
Square one, people....square one.
