Wrong Kinda Shopping

As many of you know, I go shopping a lot. Not necessarily spending lotsa money, but definitely time.

So now when it comes down to functional clothes, realize that I have nothing. My current dilemma involves needing a waterproof ski jacket and pants. They don't come cheap. While I'm willing to dish out some moolah for the jacket, buying the pants just cannot be justified. Yet, I need them for Thursday. What to do, what to do?

Second dilemma involves dressing for Friday night. We're going clubbing but this is apparently one of the better places in town, so a dress code is observed. I suppose that means no jeans. But they don't understand - I live in my blue jeans. This bloody means that my black pants need to get hemmed. Either that or wear a black skirt. Funny how 'formal' to me means black anything.

Third dilemma is one of shoes. Since it rains so bloody much in this town, I need a pair of non-slip, waterproof boots that is both stylish and practical. Something with a little bit of heel would be good.

So, I'm baffled.

How is it that a shopaholic end up with nothing to wear when it comes to functional clothing?
