Travel Fantasy Binge # 1

About a month or two ago while fantasizing about going to Cape Town for school, I was going through travel blogs like crazy for a bit. Came across the blog Born in the RSA which I thought was really cool. This dude went to Turkey as well which was also part of my fantasy at the time.

Many people take time off to do an around the world kinda thing, but I think it's too late for me. Yeah, yeah I know it's NEVER too late but within reason. My next travel thingies will have to involve doing some work too. Taking time off to travel without somehow advancing my career will leave me feeling uneasy.

It's quite scary to think about it. Our lives are exactly how we make it to be. Every little thing we add to our life story is like adding a chapter to a new book. And before you know it, the story will have to come to a conclusion. Often before you're ready.

So with each passing day now, I almost feel like life is passing by. There is so much I want to accomplish but there doesn't seem to be enough time. Not mundane everyday things but more like bigger blocks of things. While school has been very interesting, I can't help but want to excellerate into when I can finally take off to travel and work in exotic places.

If nothing else, Jas (my former roommate) has been an inspiration for me to take career issues more seriously. If she can accomplish so much in the time that we have both been alive, why shouldn't I accomplish something too. If you have a passion, you should stick to it all the way. Being wishy-washy about things will get you nothing at the end of the day. If you don't know what you want, you're drifting. And time goes by, just like it does every day.

While I kinda have something in mind now, it is time to move forward to plan the next step in order to prepare for it. BEFORE it gets here. Coz often when the time comes to actually make a decision, it's too late. You prob haven't made any preparations for it.

So I'm asking myself this, what is it that I want for the next little bif of life?
