Is it true then? Does destiny truly exist? I wouldn't dare venture off saying everyone (coz I've never been a boy) but all girls at some point or another must have gone doe eyed thinking about soul-mates and the powers of destiny. It comes with being socialized to play with barbie dolls. That aside...
As we grow older, things happen. We learn to mask this innocence. People call it being gulliable. Fine, that's all good.
Then comes along a movie like this to throw everything out of whack. Is there such a thing as soul mates? Are we supposed to meet in one of our perhaps many lifetimes? This one? How would we know? Do you get a second chance? By definition, destiny should mean that it would happen no matter what.
This poster looks funny btw. She looks as if she is trying to get something (a wallet maybe?) out of his pocket. Ahh, it's true. I have gone bitter. Here's a movie about true love going beyond life and death and all I can think of is the stupid poster. Pardon my lack of sentimentality. It comes with age.
But anyway on a softer note (yes, I am capable) here's something I told my then newly single friend.
The thing about being single is that you can still dream and hope that there's someone out there who is perfect for you.
And every morning that you wake up , you may ask yourself - will today be the day we meet?
I've got the perfect song to end this post with.
